Good morning everyone! Like a lot of people you might be looking for a healthy, yummy breakfast alternative to what seems to be the norm these days: Breakfast bars, cereals or meals I like to refer to as “cake for breakfast.” This category includes donuts, pastries and my personal favorite, blueberry pancakes. However, no matter how tasty, none of these options (even my beloved blueberry pancakes) are made to set you up for a day of healthy eating. Just the opposite. They can under-nourish you, leaving you searching for snacks like a dizzy madman at inopportune times during your day. Not cute.
Enter avocado toast. This option has 3 very important components for a good breakfast. 1) All natural. No added sugars, preservatives (depending on the bread you use) or anything gross you may be trying to cut out of your breakfast. 2) Healthy fats to keep you satiated and happy until lunch, thanks to the avocado and the olive oil and 3) It’s freakin’ delicious.
